14 Boko Haram fighters surrender to Multinational task force in Chad

At least 14 Boko Haram fighters have surrendered to the troops of Multinational Joint Task Force in the Chad Republic.

The repentant terrorists and their family members were handed over to the MNJTF by maritime troops from Cameroon and Niger Republic following an operation in Lake Chad.

The chief spokesman for the MNJTF, Lt. Col. Abdullahi Abubakar, who disclosed this in a statement in a statement on Tuesday in the Chadian capital said 55 women were handed over to the troops alongside the insurgents.

He added that the terrorists surrendered to the troops between July 1 and July 6.

The spokesman also revealed that the terrorists also surrendered five AK-47 rifles and ammunition to the troops.
