2019: More trouble for APC as court nullifies election of its Gov candidate, others
The travails of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in respect of the 2019 general elections just keep increasing.
A High Court in Port Harcourt on Wednesday nullified the nomination of Mr Tonye Cole as the Governorship Candidate of the party in Rivers State.
The court gave the ruling on the ground that his nomination was a function of illegality and unconstitutional acts.

The Court also nullified the Rivers State Senatorial, House of Representatives and House of Assembly Primaries conducted on the premise of the illegal ward congresses.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Wednesday stated that it would not accept names of candidates for the 2019 election for Zamfara State from the party, effectively excluding the party in the state from the elections.
The electoral umpire said there was no primary election in the state to throw up candidates.
