Actor Segun Arinze dismisses reports he needs money to fight sickness

Veteran Nollywood actor Segun Arinze has taken to social media to debunk rumours making the rounds that he is sick and desperately in need of financial assistance to take care of himself.

The thespian who denied the rumours in a video shared on his official Instagram page assured scores of his worried fans that he is hale, hearty, and in no need for financial assistance.

Additionally, he revealed that recent images of him appearing weak and with a large stomach that went viral on social media were taken on a movie set and did not accurately depict his current state of health.

He said, “I want to thank my fans, friends, and associates all over the world for reaching out to me through calls and WhatsApp messages to find out how I’m doing.

“As you can see, I’m very fine. I’m fit as a fiddle. Please, I am as fit as a fiddle. Those pictures flying around were taken from a film set. I don’t know why some people decided to cause some mischief with them.

“I will continue to do my work. I will continue to contribute to the growth of my industry and Nigeria. God bless you. I love you.”
