Actress Regina Daniels clarifies comments about having 20 boyfriends before marriage

Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, wife to billionaire businessman, Ned Nwoko has clarified her comments about having 20 boyfriends before she got married.

The mother of two attempted to refute the widely held belief that she had “no choice” in marrying Nwoko at the age of 19, pointing out that she had many suitors when she first met her husband, in the viral footage from her most recent TikTok livestream.

Regina said; “When I started with my husband, I even forgot that I was supposed to have boyfriends. Of course, I had like 20 at the time, I can count them. This one is to buy me water; this one is to buy me chewing gum; this one is to drive me around. So when people think I didn’t have a choice, it’s crazy.”

On October 30, 2024, she took to Instagram to explain her remarks after they generated a variety of responses on social media and from her husband. She urged girls and boys to wait until marriage to have s3x, just like she did, in her message.

“Hey everyone I want to clarify the 20 boyfriend ish solely to soothe my husband and also educate young girls that having several male/boyfriends willing to do things for you doesn’t mean you owe them your body. And oh yes. I did have a lot but I made a promise to keep my virginity till my marriage. And guess what? I did!!!. It’s a big flex,” she wrote.
