Aiyedatiwa presents N655bn 2025 appropriation bill to Ondo Assembly
The Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, on Tuesday, presented the N655.23 billion 2025 budget proposal to the State House of Assembly for consideration.
The governor, who titled the appropriation bill “Budget of Recovery,” said the budget estimate was N259.9 billion higher than the 2024 budget of N395.25 billion.
He added that the sum of N248.9 billion (37.9%) was earmarked for recurrent expenditure and N406.3 billion (62.01%) for capital expenditure in the budget.

Breakdown of the sectoral allocations:
· Infrastructural Development – N238.572 billion (36.40%)
· Public Finance – N125.456 billion (19%)
· Education – N77.024 billion (11.80%)
· Agricultural Development – N56.102 billion (8.60%)
· Health -N46.016 billion (7.00%)
· Administration of Justice – N18.312 billion (2.80%)
Aiyedatiwa said: “We have delivered on our promises and now seek to consolidate our gains through the 2025 Budget.”
