Armed robber killed after chasing victim into police station
Officials of Orji Police Division in Owerri, Imo State on Friday shot dead one of the armed robbers who chased a bank customer simply identified as Nsofor to their division.
One of the policemen who spoke with news men said the robbers trailed their victim from a bank in Mbieri and when their target noticed that he was being trailed, he diverted his movement and headed for the station.

He added that they engaged the armed robbers in a gun battle, which killed one of them instantly while three others escaped with bullet wounds.
According to sources, several shops, banks and a fuel station where forced to put activities to a halt out of fear of being shot during the shoot out.
The Police Public Relation Officer in the state, Orlando Ikeokwu, who confirmed the incident said that a pistol with five expended bullets and one unexpended bullet were recovered from the slain robber.
