The Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) will arraign the Kaduna State Commissioner for Internal Security, Samuel Aruwan, and his Finance counterpart, Shizzer Bada, for alleged false assets declaration on November 7.

The Executive Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education (SUBEB), Tijjani Abdullahi, will also be arraigned for the same offence at the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) in Abuja.

The Head of Press Unit in CCB, Veronica Kato, disclosed this in a statement on Friday in Abuja.

She said the three officials have been advised to step aside pending the hearing and determination of a motion filed on October 21 and charges brought against them by the CCB.

Kato added that the order follows an ex parte application submitted by the CCB regarding alleged violations of the CCB and Tribunal Act, 2004.

The spokesperson said the bureau took the action after receiving a petition against some senior government officials in Kaduna for various infractions of the Code of Conduct for public officers.

“Following comprehensive investigations, the CCB had approached the Tribunal to initiate trials,” she stated.
