Awoniyi, Aina feature as Forest boost top four hopes with Ipswich win

Nigerian duo of Taiwo Awoniyi and Ola Aina were in action as Nottingham Forest secured a 4-2 victory over Ipswich Town in the Premier League on Saturday.

While Awoniyi was subbed in after 80 minutes, Aina played from start to finish as Forest boosted their hopes of finishing in top four.

The result moves Forest just a point behind second-placed Arsenal – who face Chelsea on Sunday – and ever closer to Champions League football next term.

At the Etihad Stadium, Manchester City stumbled again in the battle to secure a return to the Champions League as they were pegged back twice by fellow top-five challengers Brighton.

Erling Haaland became the first player to reach 100 Premier League goal involvements in fewer than 100 games when he marked his 94th appearance in the competition with his 84th goal.

Im the other Premier League games played on Saturday, Everton and West Ham played 1-1 draw, Southampton lost 1-2 to visiting Wolverhampton Wanderers while Bournemouth also lost 1-2 to Brentford.
