AY wants customers to challenge banks over numerous charges on accounts

Talented Nigerian comedian and movie producer Ayo Makun, popularly known in entertainment circles as AY, has demanded that local banks ought to be challenged by authorities over numerous charges deducted from customers’ accounts.

The humour merchant who made the call in a post shared on his official X page stated that he wonders how banks declare trillions as profit every quarter in a struggling economy.

AY declared that the small charges and debits deducted from customers accounts need to be challenged, as many of those fees are peculiar to Nigeria only.

‘‘Where do banks get the trillions they declare as profits every quarter, even in a struggling economy? The small charges and debits on our accounts need to be challenged. Many of these fees are unique to Nigeria. Why is that?’’ AY asked on his X page.
