Bassey stars as Fulham knock Man Utd out of FA Cup
Calvin Bassey was on target for Fulham while Alex Iwobi was also in action as they defeated Manchester United through penalties in the FA Cup on Sunday.
Fulham goalkeeper Bernd Leno was the hero with two saves in the penalty shootout to send his side to the Quarterfinals.
But it was Bassey who opened scoring in the first half of regular time before Bruno Fernandes levelled for Manchester United in the 71st minute.
Both sides could have won it without the need for penalties, but alas, the game was forced to shootouts, and Fulham carried the day with a 4-3 win.

For United, the FA Cup is another one of the avenues to a European spot next season that has been closed.
It is a 10th defeat in 24 games for United since Amorim took over as head coach in November and the sixth at Old Trafford. By contrast, it took predecessor Erik ten Hag 55 games to lose 10 matches.
For the Quarterfinals, Bournemouth have been drawn at home to Manchester City. Preston, the only Championship side left in the FA Cup, are at home to Unai Emery’s Aston Villa.
Fulham host Crystal Palace in a London derby, while Brighton will be at home to either Nottingham Forest or Ipswich, who play their fifth-round tie on Monday.
