Bauchi SSG, Kashim Ibrahim resigns
The Secretary to the Bauchi State Government, Barr Kashim Mohammed Ibrahim on Friday resigned from the position.
Ibrahim is a loyalist of Governor Bala Mohammed and his resignation from the government is expected to surprise many in the state.
He was the placeholder for Governor Mohammed when the latter vied for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential ticket in the June 2022 primary election.
Meanwhile, Governor Mohammed has accepted the SSG’s resignation.
In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mukhtar M. Gidado, the governor directed the Chief of Staff, Government House, Dr. Aminu Hassan Gamawa to take over as SSG in an acting capacity.
The statement read: “The Chief of Staff in the Government House, Bauchi, Dr. Aminu Hassan Gamawa, has been directed to take over from him in an acting capacity.
“Bala Mohammed, on behalf of the government and the people of Bauchi State, thanked him for the services he rendered to the state and wished him well in his future endeavors.”
