Bayelsa: APC to conduct fresh guber primary
The All Progressives Congress is to conduct a fresh governorship primary to pick its candidate for the forthcoming governorship election in Bayelsa state, as the one earlier held was marred by violence and intimidation.
National Chairman of the party, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, said in Abuja yesterday that the party will conduct another primary at a yet to be determined date, explaining that the exercise held on Tuesday was marred by security flaws.
Ripples had earlier reported, that the Tuesday’s exercise had been called off, after Adams Oshiomhole, who was the returning officer had to escape from the venue of the event due to the violence that erupted.

Former governor of the state, Timipre Silva was later announced as winner of the primary, by an unauthorized body, a situation that has been disapproved by the party
