Bournemouth have inflicted Manchester United with a 3-0 defeat in their Premier League clash at Old Trafford on Sunday.

The Red Devils were booed off as they suffered a heavy home defeat by high-flying Bournemouth for the second year in a row.

The Ruben Amorim side are losing for the third time in four Premier League outings.

United will celebrate Christmas in 13th position after another below-par display that leaves them with just seven points from six games.

At the Goodison Park on Sunday, Everton successfully held Chelsea to a goalless draw.

Enzo Maresca’s men failed to break down an obdurate Everton backline, with the result guaranteeing Liverpool top spot going into Christmas.

The Blues saw their eight-game winning run in all competitions brought to a halt, damaging their chances of bringing the trophy back to Stamford Bridge.

Elsewhere, Super Eagles forward Alex Iwobi was in action for Fulham as they also played a goalless draw with struggling Southampton.

In the other game played concurrently, Leicester City fell to a 3-0 thrashing to visiting Wolverhampton Wanderers at the King Power Stadium.
