Burna Boy rejects comparison with Fela, charges colleagues to live decently in 2025

The Grammy Award-winning musician Damini Ogulu aka Burna Boy has expressed over displeasure over his comparison with the late Afrobeat maestro, Fea Anikulapo Kuti.

The “Ye” crooner is a post shared on his official Instagram page on Monday stated categorically that all the talk about him and Fela having similarities and the usual comparisons must stop.

Burna Boy declared that he is not Fela but should be called Big 7 and he is all about positivity, peace and prosperity.

He wrote: “Also all that Burna boy and Fela talk needs to die Now. I’m not Fela, I’m BIG7. Im all about positivity, peace and prosperity. But honestly l’d rather kill you than die for you.”

The singer also cautioned his colleagues to stop living fake lives in 2025.

Burna Boy added: “If you ever lied about buying sujimoto’s house in Banana when you only rented it. Do better in 2025.

” If you ever lied about elele’s house being yours. Do better in 2025. If you have an aftermarket ‘rainbow Daytona,’ please stop telling people it’s real.

“Do better in 2025 It should be a criminal offence to tell as many lies as certain men. The list can go on and on and on. (sent with new years effect.).”
