Gabriel Jesus scored three goals to help Arsenal defeat Crystal Palace 3-2 in their Carabao Cup quarter-final clash on Wednesday night.

The game played at the Emirates Stadium saw the Gunners successfully advance to the semi-finals of the competition.

Jesus has not scored in the Premier League since 30 January and his second-half hat-trick comes in only the second game he has scored in this season.

Jean-Phillipe Mateta and Eddie Nketiah were the goalscorers for Crystal Palace.

Liverpool and Newcastle United have also advanced to the semifinal of the competition.

It was Darwin Nunez who set Liverpool on the path to victory over Southampton as Arne Slot’s side reached the Carabao Cup last four.

Nunez ended his six-game barren run as he and Harvey Elliott scored to give the Reds firm control in the first half, although Cameron Archer later pulled a goal back to give the hosts hope.

Sandro Tonali scored twice as Newcastle moved into the last four with a comfortable 3-1 victory over Brentford at St James’ Park.

Manchester United and Tottenham will face off in the last quarter-final clash on Thursday.
