Talented Nigerian music video producer Clarence Peters has revealed why he hated the fact that his parents, Sir Shina Peters and Clarion Chukwurah, were famous.

Clarence Peters, who opened up during a recent interview, said that growing up with famous parents caused him trauma, which stemmed from him being in the limelight.

He stated further during the interview that he later realised that he had an impostor syndrome and did not want to put his name on music videos, but a friend he edited tricked him into doing so.

Clarence said, “I grew up with famous parents, and some of my trauma stemmed from them being in the limelight—I didn’t like that.

“But then I realised I had a level of imposter syndrome. I didn’t even want to put my name on music videos, but a friend I used to edit with tricked me. He insisted on adding my name, and there was nothing I could do about it.”

Clarence also talked more about his struggles with imposter syndrome, stating that he first doubted his gift and that only his mother recognized it early on.

He said; “I didn’t think I had the personality for it. I wasn’t even sure about my talent. The only person who was certain – even before I started exhibiting it – was my mother. She firmly believed that it’s in the genes.”

This comes weeks after Clarence explained why one of his greatest fears was not to be like my father, Sir Shina Peters.

Clarence Peters, who is the founder and CEO of Capital Dream Pictures, revealed that his father screwed up by making his mother, Clarion Chukwura, go through a lot of trauma when she was younger.

The seasoned music video producer who opened up during a chat with media personality Chude Jideonwo, however, noted that his father made mistakes that he has also made, so he can’t judge him.

He stated further that one of his greatest fears was not to be what his father was to the opposite s3x because he can relate to the mistakes that his father made.
