Court varies bail conditions of five #EndBadGovernance protesters
Justice Emeka Nwite of the Federal High Court, Abuja, on Monday varied the bail conditions to #EndBadGovernance protesters in the country.
The judge on September 11 granted bail to 10 protesters on for a combined sum of N100 million with stringent conditions.
In Monday’s proceeding, Nwite reduced the amount from N10 million to N5 million each.
This variation followed an appeal by lawyers for five defendants who were unable to meet the original bail conditions.
The new conditions also require the defendants to provide a surety, specifically a close relative.
