Nigerian singer Oyindamola Johnson Emmanuel, popularly known as Dammy Krane, has stated that the alleged missing N180m from Very Dark Man’s NGO account is a prank.

Recall how Very Dark Man shocked many on Friday by posting on his Instagram page that he was upset over a hacker stealing N180 million from his NGO’s account.

He clarified that the NGO’s app had been temporarily removed for maintenance in order to prevent more vulnerabilities, and that law enforcement had detained one of the suspects.

However, Dammy Krane stated that VDM is renovating a school in Jos and was merely making light of the tale of stolen money in a picture that was posted on his Instagram page on Saturday evening.

‘‘It was a prank. VDM is renovating a school in Jos. Una no expect am abi?!’’ Dammy Krane wrote on his Instagram page.

Dammy Krane’s remarks come after street hop singer Portable voiced out his position on the matter in a shared post on his official X handle (formerly Twitter), where he called VDM a thief for making such a claim and also challenged him to a matchup to prove his innocence.

Portable wrote thus on his X page: “If you don’t return the stolen NGO money, don’t step foot in Lagos or Abuja. We’ll fight you. A thief is a thief, and a friend of a thief is also a thief. Rich men contributed about ₦180 million for orphans, and you spent it!”

The musician, who noted that he has never received a N100 donation, also accused Very Dark Man of claiming to fight for Nigerians but in actual fact is fighting for his own personal gain.

“You say you’re fighting for Nigerians, but it’s for your personal gain. I’ve never received ₦100 million, yet I still distribute rice and noodles, and fix roads and streetlights in my area. But you spent the NGO money in clubs. Bad person!” Portable said.
