Denzel Washington says he has a few more roles to play before retiring as an actor

Popular Hollywood actor Denzel Washington has told those who care to listen that he has a few more roles to play before he retires from the profession which has brought him fame and fortune.

The 70-year-old thespian and producer who is known for his dramatic roles on stage and screen, revealed on the latest Australian version of the TODAY show that he has a few more roles left before he withdraws from the world of make-belief.

Denzel who is widely regarded as one of the best actors of his generation said that he is only concerned about working with the best for now as he does not know how many films he is going to make in the future.

“For me, it’s about the filmmaker, especially at this point in my career,” he said. “I’m only interested in working with the best. I don’t know how many more films I’m gonna make — probably not that many. I want to do things I haven’t done.”

The Academy Award-winning actor who was once declared as the greatest actor of the 21st century by The New York Times in 2020, is currently on a promo run for his role in Gladiator II, which releases in theaters later this month.
