Drunk driver rams into soldiers during morning drill in Lagos, fatalities feared

A suspected drunk driver crashed into a group of soldiers during their morning physical training near Myoung Barracks, Lagos, on Friday, leaving multiple casualties and sparking chaos within the military community.

Eyewitnesses described the scene as harrowing, with injured soldiers scattered across the road.

“There’s blood everywhere. I was spared because I was at the back,” said one of the soldiers who survived the accident.

According to sources, the vehicle involved was carrying three young men believed to be Yahoo Boys (internet fraudsters). The driver lost control and rammed into the unit near the Myoung Barracks Army Sports Camp.

One of the occupants fled the scene immediately, while the other two were caught and beaten to a pulp by an angry mob. Their vehicle was also vandalized in the aftermath of the crash.

The accident has caused widespread concern among soldiers and their families, with many desperately trying to confirm the status of their loved ones.

> The military is yet to release an official statement on the incident, but sources suggest that several soldiers may have lost their lives.
