EFCC arrests 25 in Edo ‘Yahoo Academy’
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Thursday, arrested 25 suspected internet fraudsters in an alleged cybercrime training centre in Edo State.
The commission’s Head of Media and Publicity, Dele Oyewale, said in a statement on Friday in Abuja the arrest of the suspects followed reports that the apartment was being used as a Yahoo academy or training school for internet-related fraud and other fraudulent activities.

He listed items recovered from the suspects to include six exotic cars, laptops, and phones.
“The suspects will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded,” Oyewale added.
