EFCC arrests 8 trucks conveying suspected illegal solid minerals in Makurdi
Operatives of the Makurdi Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested eight trucks conveying suspected illegal solid minerals.
They were arrested on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at Katsina-ala Local Government Area of Benue State.

Solid minerals suspected to be fluorite and iron stones were recovered from the trucks. The minerals may have been mined from some illegal mining sites in the Logo Local Government Area of Benue State.
According to Dele Oyewale Head, Media & Publicity of the commission, the suspects will soon be charged to court upon conclusion of investigations.
