EFCC grills ex-Women Affairs Minister, Kennedy-Ohanenye, for alleged funds diversion
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Thursday detained the former Minister of Women Affairs, Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye, for alleged corruption, the Channels Television reports.
Sources in the EFCC told the TV station, the ex-minister was quizzed for her alleged roles in the misappropriation, violation of procurement process and diversion of N138.4 million during disbursement of funds in the ministry in 2023.

Kennedy-Ohanenye arrived arrived at the commission’s headquarters in Abuja at about 11:00 a.m. and was immediately ushered into one of the rooms in the building by investigators for questioning on her alleged involvement in the diversion of funds donated for the management of P- Bat Cares for Women Initiative.
She was one of the five ministers sacked by President Bola Tinubu in October last year.
Kennedy-Ohanenye was appointed the Minister of Women Affairs by the president on August 21, 2023.
