EPL: Haaland fires Man City past West Ham after Arsenal draw Brighton

Erling Haaland scored a hat-trick to help Manchester City secure a 3-1 victory over West Ham in a Premier League encounter on Saturday evening.

Haaland opened scoring in the 10th minute before Rúben Dias scored an own goal to equalize for the hosts and Haaland netted two more goals

Earlier in the day, Arsenal were held to a 1-1 draw by Brighton at the Emirates Stadium, with Kai Havertz and Joao Pedro scoring for either sides.

The Gunners ended the game with 10 men as Declan Rice was shown a red card.

Having already been booked for an earlier foul on Brighton’s Joel Veltman, Rice received a second yellow card four minutes into the second half for kicking the ball away before a free-kick.

The Mikel Arteta side have now dropped points for the first time this season.

Elsewhere, Brentford thrashed Southampton 3-1; Everton lost 2-3 to Bournemouth at the Goodison Park, while Ipswich played a 1-1 draw with Fulham.

In other Premier League games played concurrently, Leicester City fell to a 2-1 defeat against Aston Villa while Nottingham Forest and Wolverhampton Wanderers played a 1-1 draw.
