Euro 2024: Netherlands beat Turkey to set up England semifinal
The Netherlands have stormed into the semifinal of the European Championship after coming from behind to beat Turkey 2-1 on Saturday night.
It was a game of two halves as Turkey led 1-0 in the opening half through Centre-back Samet Akaydin whose 35th-minute effort put them ahead.
The Dutch fought back in the second half, with Stefan de Vrij finding the equaliser with a smooth header 20 minutes from time.

Netherlands completed the comeback six minutes after through an own goal from Mert Muldur, who bundled the ball over his goalline under pressure from Cody Gakpo.
Victory means Ronald Koeman’s side will now take on England in Dortmund on Wednesday as both sides battle for a place in the final.
The winners of that tie will face the winners between Spain and France in the final of the tournament.
