Fani-Kayode dubs Buhari’s govt most primitive, ignorant in Nigeria’s history

A former minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode says he will report to the offices of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission in Abuja on Monday to assist them with on-going investigations.

His assent followed a formal letter of invitation sent to him by the commission.

It would be recalled that the EFCC had insinuated Fani-Kayode was nowhere to be found, and that there was a manhunt for him, having failed to honour its invitation.

But the former minister said at no time was he invited, adding that he would honour the commission whenever he was invited.

The commission in a letter of invitation sent to Fani-Kayode on Friday said “the commission is investigating a case of criminal conspiracy, fraud and money laundering involving Joint Trust Dimension Ltd in which you featured prominently”.

The letter signed by Mohammed Umar Abba, Acting head of Pension Fraud section on behalf of the commission chairman, said Fani-Kayode should report to the Abuja office of the EFCC on Monday May 9, 2016 at 10am.

Fani-Kayode has reportedly replied through his lawyer that he would honour the invitation, to assist in the investigations.
