#FearlessOctober protest gathers steam in Abuja (Video)

Despite warnings by security agencies and pleas by the government, the nationwide protest tagged #FearlessOctober
scheduled for Tuesday, October 1, commenced without hitches in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory.

The #FearlessInOctober protest which is a continuation of the #EndBadGovernance protests that held between August 1 and 10, was organized to draw government’s attention to the economic hardship, hunger and high cost of living being experienced by many Nigerians.

The Abuja protesters who hit the streets as early as 7 am, gathered at the busy Utako market in the Utako area of the FCT, where the demonstration is currently ongoing.

Carrying various placards, the protesters sang solidarity songs while lamenting the hardship in the country which they attributed to the policies of the federal government.
