Fire razes 50 shops in Yobe market
An early morning fire razed more than 50 shops at the popular Bayan Tasha market in Damaturu, Yobe State, on Tuesday.
An eyewitness told journalists the incident started at about 2:00 a.m. when electricity was restored in the area.

The swift response of fire fighters prevented the fire from spreading to more shops in the market.
The market was razed by fire at the same time in 2023.
