Flamingos thrash Ecuador 4-0 to continue impressive W’Cup campaign
Nigeria U-17 women’s football team, the Flamingos are almost certain of the quarterfinals of the FIFA U-17 women’s World Cup after sealing yet another victory.
The Nigerian girls started off their campaign on a bright note, thrashing New Zealand 4-1 in their Group A opener earlier this week.
They put up another brilliant performance on Saturday night to thrash Ecuador 4-0 in their second game and sealed a spot in the last eight.

Shakirat Moshood opened the scoring for Nigeria in the 28th minute when she converted a spot kick.
Harmony Chidi doubled the lead on 54 minutes, Peace Effiong made it 3-0 on 66 minutes before Moshood scored her second of the night in added time to seal the rout.
Flamingos sit comfortably at the summit of the group with six points from two matches, and will take on hosts Dominican Republic in their final group match on 23 October.
