Former NYSC DG, others abducted by bandits in Katsina

A former Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brig. Gen. Maharazu Tsiga (retd.), has been reportedly kidnapped by armed bandits who invaded his country home in Tsiga village, Bakori Local Government Area of Katsina State.

According to reports, the attack occurred in the early hours of Thursday at about 12:30am when the assailants stormed the community, causing panic and chaos among residents.

The bandits were also said to have killed one person and abducted nine others, and spent time going from house to house where they robbed residents, carting away valuables.

Security expert, Dan Katsina who also shared the news on his X handle @DanKatsina50, wrote:

“ALERT: Yesterday night, bandits attack Tsiga town and they succeeded in abducting three people including former Director General NYSC (@officialnyscng), Brig. Gen. Maharazu Tsiga.”
