Gov Kabir-Yusuf signs 2025 budget of N719.8bn in Kano
The Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir-Yusuf, on Tuesday signed the state’s 2025 appropriation bill of N719.8 billion.
The governor signed the budget at the Government House in Kano.
The State House of Assembly passed the budget earlier on Tuesday.
In his remark at the event, Governor Yusuf promised to judiciously utilise the state’s funds in accordance with global best practices of public financial management.
He assured the people of the state that the budget would be utilised judiciously for their benefit.

Yusuf said: “I want to guarantee that allocating 64 percent of the budget to capital projects and 36 percent to recurrent expenditure will positively impact the lives of the citizens.
“The total budget estimate that has been ratified today amounts to N719.8 billion, with 64 percent allocated to capital projects, totaling N457 billion and recurrent expenditure totaling N262.6 billion.
“Today, we witnessed the ratification of the 2025 budget, which was presented to the Kano State House of Assembly a few months ago.”
He thanked the Speaker of the assembly and the members for ensuring that the budget became a reality.
