Husband arrested over brutal murder of wife in Edo
A shocking incident occurred in Edo State, Nigeria, where a 38-year-old woman, Success Izekor, was brutally murdered by her husband, Kelvin Izekor. The couple, who were newlyweds, lived in Benin City, and their neighbors were left stunned by the tragic event.
A resident, who wished to remain anonymous, expressed her disbelief and horror at the incident. “I can’t believe what I saw. Imagine being killed by your own husband. They were newlyweds, and nobody would have expected the woman to suffer such a fate.”
According to the Edo State Police Command, the incident occurred on February 22, 2025, at around 10:00 PM. The police received information that Kelvin Izekor had killed his wife, and an irate mob was about to lynch him.
The spokesperson of the Edo State Police Command, Moses Yamu, confirmed the incident in a statement. “Operatives of the Aduwawa Division swiftly responded to the report and found the lifeless body of the woman lying in a pool of her own blood, with deep cuts on her head.”
