Sultry Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has revealed how her senior colleague Bimbo Akintola was pivotal in helping her secure her first acting opportunity in the movie industry.

The mother of two, who opened up during an interview on the Glass House show with comedian Ayo Makun, said that after finishing secondary school, her friend directed her to Bimbo Akintola’s house.

Iyabo Ojo stated that she was previously inspired by Bimbo Akintola’s outstanding performance in the film ‘Out of Bounds,’ which cemented her decision to become an actress.

She also stated further that the seasoned actress played an important role in securing her first Nollywood acting opportunity by connecting her to another renowned actor.

Iyabo Ojo said, “I started moving around with Bimbo Akintola, and I was going with her for auditions, then she introduced me to Uncle Keppy Ekpenyong Bassey and his beautiful wife.

“They were so nice to me, and one day he just gave me a note somewhere in Surulere. So I took the note and I went there.

“I was very excited, at least for the first time I was going to have that opportunity to work in front of the camera and that was a big deal for me.” She added.
