Court grants Dele Famoroti N50m bail
The Federal High Court in Ado Ekiti on Monday granted the human rights activist, Dele Farotimi, bail.
He was granted bail in the sum of N50 million and a surety in the like sum.
The surety is expected to provide evidence of two years’ tax clearance, land document and a letter of authorisation from the telecommunication company.

The rights activist is standing trial for alleged defamation and cybercrime in a case filed by a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), Afe Babalola.
The Sahara Reporters Publisher, Omoyele Sowore, disclosed this on his X handle on Monday.
He wrote: “The first hurdle was crossed. @DeleFarotimi was granted bail of N50 million naira surety in the like sum with someone with landed property. The Case was Adjourned to 29 January 2025.
