Senator representing Anambra South, Ifeanyi Ubah has died while in a medical trip to the United Kingdom.

Ubah, a prominent business mogul from the south-east region is also the Chief Executive Officer of Capital Oil, which he founded in 2001.

Senator Ubah, a stalwart of the All Progressives Congress (APC), according to reports, died in a London hotel, where he had arrived just two days prior.

The news of his death was confirmed through a group chat of senators, who have begun to pay tributes to their late colleague. The Senate and his family have yet to officially comment on the incident.

Ubah’s death comes just days after his campaign council donated N71 million to the APC in Anambra State, in a bid to strengthen the party’s presence in the region. The donation included a personal contribution of N50 million from Ubah himself.
