Kogi Assembly passes N582.4bn 2025 budget

The Kogi State House of Assembly on Tuesday passed the state’s 2025 appropriation bill of N582.4 billion.

This followed the adoption of the report of the House Standing Committee on Appropriation, Budget Monitoring, and Economic Planning at the plenary in Lokoja.

At the clause-by-clause consideration by the sub-Committee of Supply, the Speaker of the House, Mr. Aliyu Yusuf, said the appropriation bill had an authorised recurrent expenditure of N281.1 billion and the capital expenditure of N301.2 billion.

He thanked the lawmakers for discharging their responsibilities diligently.

Governor Ahmed Ododo presented the 2025 budget estimate of N582.4 billion to the House on December 3.
