KWARA: 34-year-old Yakubu Saliu Danladi emerges speaker of Kwara Assembly

The Kwara State House of Assembly on Tuesday passed the 2025 budget proposal of N584.69 billion.

The passed budget was N44.33 billion higher than the N540.37 billion presented to the House by Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazak in December last year.

The Speaker of the Assembly, Mr. Yakubu Danladi-Salihu, passed the appropriation bill after it was read the third time by the Clerk of the House, Alhaji Kareem Ahmed.

Danladi-Salihu, thereafter, directed the Clerk to prepare a clean copy of the budget estimate for the governor’s assent.

Earlier, the Chairman of the House Committee on Finance and Appropriation, Fatimah Lawal, presented the committee’s report to the House and this was considered before the budget estimate was passed.
