Late Watkins winner sends England into Euro ’24 final
A late goal by Ollie Watkins has sealed a 2-1 victory for England over the Netherlands in their European Championship semifinal clash on Wednesday night.
The Three Lions have thus set up a meeting with Spain in the final of the tournament.
England, hoping to reach a second Euros final in a row, fell behind early in the game when Xavi Simons netted a beautiful opener for the Dutch.

But a penalty by Harry Kane just about 10 minutes after helped England get back in the game, as both sides kept seeking a winner until the final minute.
With the game looking to go into extra time, substitute Watkins had a good turn in the box and converted the winner, to the shock of the entire Netherlands contingent.
England will now face Spain in the Euro 2024 final in Berlin on Sunday.
