Liam Payne was winning battle against drug abuse, alcoholism until he checked into Argentina hotel —Close friend

A close friend of late One Direction band member Liam Payne has disclosed that the musician was winning his battle against drug abuse and alcoholism until he traveled to Buenos Aires in Argentina to renew his USA visa.

The close friend who declined to be named said that Liam had been clean for weeks and had been to rehab more than once as everyone around him was hoping that he was on the path of recovery.

He further disclosed that Liam who has a son had had treatment in the UK and in California and he had also recently been taken on by a new psychiatrist in Florida.

However, the close friend noted that Liam was a target of drug dealers when he arrived in Beunos Aires as he started dealing with drug dealers when he lodged at a hotel with his girlfriend Kate Cassidy.

‘’Liam had been clean for weeks. He had been to rehab more than once. He had had treatment in the UK and in California.

‘’And he had recently been taken on by a new psychiatrist in Florida. Everyone around Liam hoped that he was on the path to recovery.

‘‘He went to Argentina to renew his USA visa where he had to undergo medical examination because of his history with alcohol and drugs.

“The results of the tests were good. Liam was 100 per cent sober. But when he checked in at the hotel, at some point someone there started giving him drugs.

‘’Liam had tried really hard to get clean, then they preyed on him. These people only care about money. They didn’t care about his health.’’ Liam’s close friend revealed.
