Man City grab dramatic win at Wolves to go top of Premier League
Manchester City have climbed to the top of the Premier League table after sealing a dramatic late victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday.
It was John Stones’ dramatic stoppage-time winner that secured a 2-1 victory for the champions after they had struggled to find a winner.
City’s Josko Gvardiol had cancelled out Jorgen Strand Larsen’s early opener for Wolves, who remain winless this season and are bottom of the Premier League.

Goalscorer John Stones said: “We have been trying super hard to improve our set pieces and make the most of them. Today was a new focus and attitude towards them.
“Hopefully this is the start of many more. It is a vital part of the game at both ends of the pitch and really pleasing for me personally to get the winner after such a difficult game,” he added.
With the win, the Pep Guardiola side are now top of the Premier League, with Liverpool to host Chelsea later on Sunday – and could return top with a win.
