Omawunmi, the wife of Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known in music circles as Mohbad, has lamented the continued delay in burying the late singer, two years after his death.

She opened up in an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, saying she is yet to find closure on the matter, and sometimes it feels like Mohbad is still alive.

The mother of one who was moved to tears during the question and answer session said that she is disturbed that her late husband’s body is still lying in the Yaba morgue, with no burial date decided yet.

“I haven’t had any closure since my husband died and sometimes it feels like he’s still alive. He’s in Yaba morgue and still has not been buried and it’s so so sad,” she said tearfully.

She bemoaned the ongoing delay in her husband’s funeral, claiming that her father-in-law is purposefully holding up the burial for private reasons, even though the autopsy had been performed twice.

Omawunmi said; ‘‘He has been cut open twice, you know they did two autopsies. The government autopsy and the private one that my father in law did. I can tell you that there is no genuine reason why he’s still there, my father in law has no reason for keeping him there yet he keeps saying that the government isn’t letting Mohbad get justice and he had been manipulating the public.”

‘‘Sometimes I feel like God cheated my husband; he didn’t have to die. We no longer feel safe and I get death threats literally every day in my DMs. It has gotten to the point that I either speak up or die in silence,” she added.
