Mr Macaroni laments growing trend of tribal divisions in Nigeria
Talented Nigerian content creator, actor, and activist Debo Adebayo, popularly known in entertainment circles as Mr. Macaroni, has lamented the growing trend of tribal divisions in Nigeria.
Mr. Macaroni, who took to his X page (formerly Twitter) to rue the growing trend, also stated that there is a toxic culture of tribal bigotry in the country.
He called out those who exploit ethnic sentiments for political gains by using the love and the loyalty that the people have for their respective tribes to heat up the polity.

Mr. Macaroni wrote, ‘‘Shame on all those who have joined in creating this toxic culture of tribal bigotry. Using the love and the loyalty that the people have for their respective tribes to heat up the polity and settle political scores is disgraceful and a betrayal to whatever tribe you belong to.
Additionally, Mr. Macaroni asserted that individuals who have lost credibility and are attempting to regain relevance by inciting division among Nigerians frequently employ such actions.
‘‘This is what these political slaves do. When they see that they have lost all credibility, they start to instigate tribal wars in a bid to seek relevance. Kudos to every Nigerian, irrespective of their tribes, who sees beyond this mischief and continues to do their best to promote peace and unity among all tribes. Posterity will judge us all.’’ He added.
