Naira gains N0.33k against dollar at official window
The Nigerian currency, the naira, made a slight recovery against the American dollar at the official market on Wednesday.
The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Foreign exchange data showed that the naira traded N1, 602.30/$1 as against the N1, 602.63/$1 for Tuesday.
This represents a gain of N0.33 for the local currency.
On the black market, the naira appreciated by N5 to trade at N1,605/$1 as against the previous day’s rate of N1, 610/$1.
The naira lost N20 against the British Pound to trade at N2,120/£1 as against the previous N2,100/£1.
The Canadian Dollar still held steady at N1,150/CA$1.
The naira lost N20 against the Euro to trade at ₦1,800/€1 as against the previous day’s ₦1,780/€1.
