Naira sheds N2.70 against dollar at official window
The Nigerian currency, the naira, shed N2.70 against the American dollar at the official market on Tuesday.
The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Foreign exchange data showed that the naira slumped to N1, 602.63/$1 as against N1, 599.93/$1 the currency traded on Thursday.
This represents a loss of N2.70 for the local currency.
On the black market, the naira lost N10 to close at N1, 610/$1 as against the previous day’s rate of N1, 620/$1.

The naira gained N40 against the British Pound to trade at N2,100/£1 as against the previous N2,140/£1.
The Canadian Dollar still held steady at N1,150/CA$1.
The naira gained N30 against the Euro to trade at ₦1,780/€1 as against the previous ₦1,810/€1.
