Nigerian Army removes, probes Brigade Commander for misconduct

The Nigerian Army has commenced the probe of the immediate past Commander of 3 Brigade, Kano, Brig.-Gen. MA Sadiq, for alleged misconduct.

The army alleged administrative discrepancies during Sadiq’s tenure as Commander of the Brigade.

The Director of Army Public Relations, Maj.-Gen. Onyema Nwachukwu, disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday in Abuja.

He said the former brigade commander was removed to ensure a thorough investigation of the matter.

The statement read: “The Nigerian Army assures both our internal and external publics that the allegations will be thoroughly investigated, and appropriate administrative action will be taken.

“Our commitment to upholding the highest standards of integrity and transparency remains unwavering.

“We guarantee that the process will be fair, impartial, and in line with our established procedures.”
