The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has cautioned job seekers against falling prey to fraudulent recruitment advertisements circulating online, clarifying that it is not currently hiring.

In an official statement posted on its verified X handle on Friday, the company emphasized that all legitimate job openings would be announced exclusively through its official channels.

“The general public is hereby informed that NNPC Limited is not recruiting. Official recruitment announcements will only be made through our website and verified social media platforms,” the statement read.

NNPCL reaffirmed its commitment to a fair and transparent recruitment process, stressing that its hiring is strictly merit-based and does not require external assistance.

The company urged Nigerians to disregard unofficial job advertisements falsely claiming to be from NNPC Ltd., warning that such schemes could be attempts to defraud unsuspecting applicants.

The management assured Nigerians that whenever recruitment officially commences, the public would be duly notified through credible platforms. It also encouraged individuals to verify any job-related information directly from NNPCL’s official website and social media pages to avoid being misled by scammers.

“We advise the public to always verify information directly from our official platforms to avoid being misled by scammers,” NNPC Ltd. stated.

Furthermore, the company called on Nigerians to report any suspicious recruitment advertisements falsely linked to NNPC Ltd. to the appropriate authorities.
