Oyo govt confirms 23 cholera cases, one death
The Oyo State government on Tuesday confirmed 23 cases of cholera in the state.
The state Commissioner for Health, Dr. Oluwasherimi Ajetumobi stated this while briefing journalists at the end of the weekly state executive council meeting in Ibadan.
She said the cases were recorded out of 245 suspected cases reported in the state between January 1 and October 7.

Ajetunmobi said one death was recorded during the period.
According to her, the deceased was a patient brought from Lagos State.
The commissioner disclosed that nine patients currently on admission at the Infectious Disease Center in Ibadan are responding to treatment and would soon be discharged.
