PDP stakeholders back Cross River chairman’s reinstatement
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stakeholders in Cross River North have fully supported the National Working Committee’s decision to reinstate the suspended party chairman in the state, Venatius Ikem.
The NWC reinstated Ikem as the party chairman in the state on February 28.
The stakeholders include Senator representing Cross River North, Jarigbe Agom-Jarigbe, the member of the House of Representatives from Bekwarra/Obudu/Obanliku Federal Constituency, Peter Akpanke and his Yala/Ogoja counterpart, Godwin Offiono.
They met with Ikem at Agom-Jarigbe’s residence in Ogoja on Friday.

During the meeting, party leaders called for unity among members and urged them to resist distractions.
After the deliberations, the leaders unanimously resolved to comply with the NWC’s decision and reaffirm their commitment to the party’s growth.
Offiono expressed gratitude to constituents for their continued support and reiterated his dedication to the PDP.
He also lauded Agom-Jarigbe for his leadership and efforts to bring democratic benefits to the senatorial district.
