The Katsina State police command has warned parents to caution their children against engaging in unlawful acts during the Eid-el-Fitr celebrations in the state.

The spokesman for the state police command, Abubakar Aliyu, gave the warning in a statement on Saturday in Katsina.

He said: “Given the upcoming Sallah celebrations, the Katsina State Police Command, under the leadership of CP Bello Shehu, has taken necessary security measures.”

He said the command had deployed adequate personnel, operational assets, and increased visibility patrols across the state.

This, according to him, was to ensure a safe environment before, during, and after the celebrations.

“The CP urges parents and guardians to caution their children and wards against unlawful acts. The command will not tolerate lawlessness or any disruption of public peace,” the spokesman added.

Aliyu also warned troublemakers against any attempts to create unrest during the celebrations.
