Reps to probe alleged mismanagement of public assets under NPA

The House of Representatives Sub-Committee on Public Assets on Friday promised to investigate the alleged mismanagement of public assets under the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA).
The chairman of the sub-committee, Ibrahim Isiaka, said in a statement in Abuja that the investigation was to ensure that public assets were properly maintained and utilised.
He said the sub-committee would not hesitate to move for revocation of the concession and lease agreement of any company found culpable.
The lawmaker added that the committee would invite all stakeholders to appear and give an account of their stewardship.

He listed the companies to appear before the sub-committee to include Crown Flour Mill, GMT Nigeria Limited, Management Enterprises Limited, and Dangote Green View and Bulk Oil Terminal Company.
Others are Asharami Energy, Leaders Marketing Agency, Nosak Agency Limited, Oando Marketing Plc, Practoil Limited, Reliable Firm Nigeria Limited and Standard Floor Mills.
Isiaka said each of the companies would be notified of the specific date and time to appear before the committee at the National Assembly Complex in Abuja.
